21212 Demo Day: Just before Entrepreneur Week, the accelerator 21212.com held a demo day.  Looks like it was well attended and received.  Here are a few pictures and a short recap (along with a video).

LAVCA:  500 Startups and Mountain do Brasil invest $750,000 in online education startup Veduca.  The education market for startups appears to be heating up.  (Via Pulso Social)

Startup Weekend:  Is it possible that there are 12 Startup Weekend events planned in Mexico during the month of November?  Yes, yes it is.  Mexico isn’t giving up its status as the biggest country for Startup Weekends outside the USA.  (Via Emprende.la in Spanish)

T-artdesigns.com:  Argentina’s answer to Threadless.  I plan to keep an eye on this one to see if they can make the business model continue to work in a relatively small market. (Via www.startups.com.ar in Spanish.)
